IITA at Go West Summit: Driving Insight, Dialogue, and Industry Alignment

Public,

IITA was proud to once again serve as an education partner at this year’s Go West Summit, helping to bring timely, relevant insight to destinations, suppliers, and industry partners navigating today’s inbound travel landscape.

Our National Parks Update session delivered a candid look at one of the most pressing issues facing international inbound travel. Attendees heard the latest on proposed fee changes, operational challenges at park entrances, and ongoing advocacy efforts to ensure that policies support — rather than hinder — international visitation and the businesses that depend on it. The discussion reinforced just how critical national parks remain to the U.S. travel brand and the need for thoughtful, coordinated solutions.

Equally impactful was our Ask the Operator session, where inbound operators shared real-world perspectives on how they build itineraries, contract with partners, and make decisions about where to send international visitors. The conversation highlighted the nuances across operator business models and offered practical guidance for destinations and suppliers looking to better align their products with global demand.

Together, these sessions reflect IITA’s commitment to being a trusted authority and connector across the inbound travel ecosystem — providing not just information, but context, clarity, and a direct line to the realities shaping our industry.

In addition to the education programs, IITA COO Kim Fisher was on hand to share the value and benefits of working with IITA inbound operators with the international travel buyers attending.

As the global travel environment continues to evolve, opportunities like Go West Summit remain essential for strengthening relationships, sharing knowledge, and ensuring the U.S. is well-positioned to compete for international visitors.
