The International Inbound Travel Association (IITA) is pleased to announce that Luisa Mendoza, Founder and CEO of GTSE (Global Tourism Sports & Entertainment), will serve as Chair of IITA Summit 2027 and the Summit Planning Committee, leading preparations for the association's premier annual event in Birmingham, Alabama.
A dynamic and innovative leader with 20 years of international experience in tourism, sports and entertainment, Mendoza brings a global perspective and entrepreneurial spirit to the role. Throughout her career, she has worked with leading organizations and brands, including NYC & Company, the NBA's Brooklyn Nets, Marriott International, and travel industry partners across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
Mendoza founded Global Tourism Sports & Entertainment during the pandemic, later expanding the company into GTSE+, which provides digital marketing, public relations and executive leadership development services across multiple industries.
As Summit Chair, Mendoza will lead the volunteer Planning Committee, working closely with IITA staff to shape an engaging and valuable Summit experience. Her responsibilities include guiding committee discussions, supporting attendee and sponsor recruitment, providing industry input on programming and host destination activities, and serving as the face of the Summit throughout the event.
"Luisa brings tremendous energy, creativity, and a global perspective to this leadership role," said Lisa Simon, IITA CEO/Executive Director. "Her passion for tourism – particularly sports tourism, experience building partnerships, and an innovative approach to business will be tremendous assets as we plan another outstanding Summit for our inbound travel community."
The 2027 IITA Summit will bring together U.S. inbound operators, destinations, and travel suppliers for business development, education, networking, and collaboration to strengthen international inbound travel to the United States.
