NTTO Forecast of International Visitation to the US
The United States is set to welcome 70.5 Million International Visitors in 2026, a 3.2% Increase from 2025
The National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) today released the official forecast of international visitation to the United States.
NTTO forecasts the total volume of international visitation to the United States will increase to 70.5 million in 2026, up 2.2 million, or +3.2%, from 68.3 million visitors in 2025. The forecast also estimates international visitor arrivals will reach 74.1 million in 2027, 78.7 million in 2028, 82.3 million in 2029, reaching an all time high, before rising to 85.2 million in 2030 (see Chart below).

The international visitation forecast includes actual annual visitation data for 2025 and forecasted annual visitor volume for years 2026-2030. The forecast covers: total international visitation from all countries; overseas (which excludes Canada and Mexico); and the 12 largest source markets. The forecast of international visitation includes two measurements: volume (in thousands) and annual percent change.
