The Power of Partnership

Public,
GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE

In a world that continues to evolve at a rapid pace, travel remains one of the most powerful ways we stay connected. And while the global landscape has become more complex — from policy changes and cost pressures to shifting perceptions about travel to the United States — the desire to explore, experience, and connect has not diminished.

AT THE INTERNATIONAL INBOUND TRAVEL ASSOCIATION, we see this every day through our members — the inbound operators, destinations, and travel suppliers who work across every sector of the U.S. travel industry. They are your partners on the ground, navigating complexity, adapting to change, and ensuring that international travelers experience the United States with confidence and ease.

We recognize today’s environment presents challenges, and we are actively engaged in addressing them. IITA continues to advocate for policies that are fair, transparent, and supportive of international visitation, while also ensuring our members have the most current information to guide you and your clients.

At the same time, we are leaning into opportunity.

The United States is entering a decade of global visibility — starting with the Route 66 Centennial, the FIFA World Cup, America’s 250th anniversary to upcoming summer and winter Olympic & Paralympic Games, Rugby World Cup and more major sporting events. These milestones bring not only visitors, but a chance to shape perception — to show the world who we are through authentic experiences, welcoming communities, and the diversity that defines this country.

Our focus is on readiness and partnership. Through initiatives like our International Readiness Training, expanded industry collaboration, and ongoing engagement with policymakers, we are working to ensure that destinations and local businesses are prepared to deliver exceptional experiences  — not just during peak moments, but year-round.

Because what matters most is what happens on the ground.

Every itinerary you create, every traveler you send, and every experience delivered by our members contributes to a larger story — one that reinforces trust, builds relationships, and inspires future travel. In today’s environment, that matters more than ever.

Travel is resilient. It adapts. It connects. And it endures because of the people behind it — you and our members — who believe in its power.

Let’s continue to move forward — together  — with purpose, partnership, and a shared commitment to making travel to the United States meaningful, memorable, and worth the journey.
